Click For More DetailsIf you're an operator of a business jet or a commercial airline with plans to flyover Seychelles airspace, obtaining a Seychelles Overflight Permit from the Seychelles Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) is mandatory. As a flight dispatcher, it's important to have a good understanding of the requirements for obtaining this permit, including the fact that the issuing of an overflight permit confirms that there is no political or security objection to your airline, aircraft, or country of origin/destination and that there are no outstanding navigation fees due to the ATC authority.
Seychelles is a beautiful island country located in the Indian Ocean. If you are planning to fly over Seychelles airspace, you may require an overflight permit. An overflight permit is a permission granted by the Seychelles Civil Aviation Authority (SCAA) to allow an aircraft to fly over the Seychelles airspace without landing. To obtain an overflight permit for Seychelles, you need to submit a request to the Seychelles Civil Aviation Authority (SCAA) at least 72 hours before the flight. The request should include the following information: Flight details including the type of aircraft, registration, and flight route , Purpose of flight, Contact details of the operator and pilot-in-command. The SCAA will review your request and issue an overflight permit if all requirements are met. The permit will specify the conditions and restrictions for the flight.
We recommend contacting a reputable aviation service provider or consulting with the Seychelles CAA directly for the most up-to-date information and assistance with the overflight permit application process.
Officially there is "NO CAA Processing Fees" applied for issuance of Seychelles Overflight Permits.
The issued overflight permit number must be inserted in Item 18 of your submiting Flight Plan.
