Flight Dispatch Tools

A flight dispatcher (also known as an airline dispatcher, flight follower or flight operations officer) assists in planning flight paths, taking into account aircraft performance and loading, enroute winds, thunderstorm and turbulence forecasts, airspace restrictions, and airport conditions. Dispatchers also provide a flight following service and advise pilots if conditions change. They usually work in the operations center of the airline. In the United States and Canada, the flight dispatcher shares legal responsibility with the commander of the aircraft (joint responsibility dispatch system).

An “Aircraft Dispatcher” arranges all handling on an aircraft parking spot. Coordinates passenger, cargo and fuel loading. Takes care of all handling during parking on an aircraft. The “aircraft dispatcher” does not flight follow or plan any portion of the flight after leaving the parking spot. see more information about Aviation Tools

Flight Plan Delay Codes

Aviation ToolsIt is essential to advise ATS of cancellation, delay or any changes to the flight plan. When multiple changes are to be made, it is preferable to cancel the existing flight plan and file a new one. The pilot or representative should advise ATS about a delay if it exceeds 30 minutes for flights in controlled airspace, or 60 minutes for flights outside controlled airspace. After filing the flight plan check if it has been received and accepted. Only then will you be able to use it. the modified flight plan should also be sent along with the message.

Aircraft Registration Prefixes

Aviation ToolsAn aircraft registration is a unique alphanumeric string that identifies a civilian aircraft. Because airplanes typically display their registration numbers on the aft fuselage just forward of the tail, in earlier times more often on the tail itself, the registration is often referred to as the “tail number”.
