As a flight dispatcher, it's important to have a good understanding of the requirements for obtaining this permit, including the fact that the issuing of an overflight permit confirms that there is no political or security objection to your airline, aircraft, or country of origin/destination and that there are no outstanding navigation fees due to the ATC authority.
The issued overflight permit number must be inserted in Item 18 of your submiting Flight Plan.

Centre of it all is the bustling city of Willemstad. When you want to get away to find some quiet, you will find it easy to find the sights of Curacao. There is plenty to see and do in the cunucu (countryside). Just north of town, near Hato International Airport, are the Hato Caves. The caves, gouged out of limestone cliffs ages ago as the island emerged from the sea, are still forming, albeit by one drop at a time.
At the west end of the island is the impressive Christoffel Park, part of the island's national park system since 1978. The park, about a 40-minute drive from Willemstad, is the home of the 1,239-foot (377-meter) Mt. Christoffel, the island's highest point, as well as dozens of species of trees and plants, including an orchid forest, birds, lizards, and sea life, including nesting sea turtles.
One of Curacaos' national parks is Shete Boka Park (seven bays or coves). It covers approximately 6 miles on the rough coast with multiple coves where various turtles lay their eggs. Better known spots in the park are among others: Boka Table and the natural bridge of Curacao.
Far away from the hustle and bustle of Curaçao's Punda and Otrobanda districts lies a remote, coral island with white sand beaches, crystal clear water, a spectacular reef and colorful sea life. Fort Beekenburg was build in 1703 to defend Spanish Water. At the time it was one of the few places where you could get onto land from sea. This fort has earned his stripes. Multiple times it had fended off the English or pirates. The fort was build with stones factured in the Waalgebied (Dutch area). These stones came from ships where they were used as ballast
The city of Willemstad dates from the Dutch capture of Curaçao by victory over the Spanish in 1634. While the Spaniards had been content to erect simple stone dwellings, the Dutch began to fortify the island. Willemstad is divided in two by Santa Anna Bay. The oldest part, Punda ("The Point") is east of the harbor mouth. One of the first permanent constructions was Fort Amsterdam which guards the entrance to St. Anna Bay, and became the focal point for the development of the city.
This plantation house is one of the oldest plantation houses which is owned by the Dutch marines as a recreation centre. Every first Sunday of the month you can visit this plantation house. Every Thursday at 09:00am they give you a guided tour.
The Curaçao Sea Aquarium belongs to one of the most unique aquaria in the world. The reason being that, from the very beginning of the aquarium in 1984, the Sea Aquarium managed to create natural habitats for all its marine creatures without using sophisticated technical equipment. The Aquarium operates according to the principle that all animals need to be kept in circumstances that as much as possible mimic their natural living conditions. This goal is accomplished by employing all the available natural sources and resources surrounding the aquarium.
